<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At the <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/european-apcm-conference/">apc|m Europe Conference</a> in Catania, Antoine Perraudat presented a fully-automated decision-making approach which increased production in a work-area of a 300mm fab by about 7%. No manual decision-making or dispatching rules to tweak, but an innovative simulation-optimization algorithm which evaluates millions of schedules and chooses the best one for multiple operational KPIs. The <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/european-apcm-conference/">apc|m Europe Conference</a> is a great occasion to connect and learn, we thank the organizers for this nice event. The participation to apc|m conference in Catania is then a very good opportunity for a new post!</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At this conference, we presented the new extension of <em>Planimize Schedule Optimizer</em> to the <em>Plasma-Etch</em> area. The major feature is the introduction of <em>cluster tools</em>. This type of equipment is complex and consists of several internal resources, called <em>chambers</em>. Similarly to other types of tools, such as single-wafer tools, cluster tools have load ports. However, they are different, because of the additional resources, e.g. chambers or buffer stations.</p>
